Ohio Makes Major Improvements in Election Integrity

Long sought after Photo Voter ID requirement, changes in Ballot Drop Boxes and mail-in ballot rules, possible dropping out of ERIC System are all very powerful steps in improving Ohio Election Integrity. (See Stephanie Kreuz email below and click the links) Getting rid of the Dominion and other computerized voting machines in Ohio and returning to paper ballots and single day voting are still the ultimate goals. However, the REAL threat to Election Integrity in Ohio in next years election is Open Primary Voting, where Democrats vote in Republican Primaries to choose the Republican General Election Candidates, and not having Run-offs in Primaries until one candidate gets over 50% of the voter support! Subject: How Ohio’s new law improves its election integrity score!

I just wanted to share the Daily Signal’s recent reporting on how a new law, enacted by the Ohio General Assembly in the closing days of 2022, strengthens Ohio’s laws on photo ID requirements, ballot drop boxes, and mail-in ballots. (This was done by the PREVIOUS Ohio Legislature not the Current Ohio Legislature.)

HB 458 improved Ohio’s score by 10 points on The Heritage Foundation’s Election Integrity Scorecard. This was the single largest improvement by any state on the scorecard during the 2022 legislative cycle. Ohio now earns a total score of 76 out of 100, vaulting our state upward in the rankings from 17th to a tie for ninth with Texas.

This win really is a credit to each of your work. Sentinels educated lawmakers on the importance of election integrity all of 2021 and 2022, and the need to strengthen Ohio’s laws.
