Dear John,
Yesterday, on the first day of the 2023 legislative session, members of the Senate Governmental Oversight and Accountability Committee passed a bill attacking our constitutional right to be union members. And now, it has just one more committee stop before being fast-tracked to the Senate floor.

SB 256 [link removed] is a blatant attack on working people’s rights and an attempt to silence your voice.
The senators who voted for this bill, despite the overwhelming opposition from those who spoke at the committee meeting, need to hear from you. Please email these senators and let them know how you expect more of them — that you expect them to stand up for you and your rights, instead of bowing to a governor who puts his political ambitions above the needs of Floridians.
No educator asked for this legislation. It is a solution looking for a problem. Working together, we will not let it become law.
In solidarity,
