Historic news from Olympia! My proposed legislation to ban the sale of assault weapons in Washington just passed the State House of Representatives and is on to the State Senate.

This is the seventh year in a row that I’ve proposed this bill — and the first time that it’s ever passed the House. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this historic vote a success. This is a major milestone in our work to fight for responsible gun laws that protect our communities.
