for selling weed to an undercover informant. He has 35 years left in his
sentence. It’s way too much, and this is in Michigan, a state that has now
legalized recreational weed.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer to set Michael free, and we need thousands of
letters from people like you to be part of it! If we don’t succeed on the
29th, Michael will have to wait another two years. So please, we need you

Listen. Gov. Whitmer has said she is committed to justice reform. She’s
said she would expunge records like Michael’s. But to make sure she does
the right thing, we need a major grassroots push.

The injustice of Michael’s situation is stunning. He is 68 years old. That
means he’s essentially been given a life sentence. Without a major push
right now, Michael could spend decades more in prison. All while
Michigan’s legalized weed industry is projected to become a $1.5 BILLION
industry by 2021.

He’s done enough time. He’s paid his price. Gov. Whitmer needs to free him
immediately by commuting his sentence.
