John,

?

Last fall, President Biden announced that the Department of Education would cancel up to $10,000 of debt for some student borrowers and up to $20,000 of debt for some Pell grant recipients in order to help mitigate the economic harms posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and provide much-needed relief to millions of Americans who are struggling under the crushing weight of our nation's $1.7 trillion in student loan debt.

?

The plan was immediately challenged by six Republican-led states and a pair of student borrowers whose loans did not qualify for the relief, and it has been blocked in the courts ever since. Last week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case, and will decide the fate of the plan in the coming months.?

?

Join us on Wednesday, March 15 at 1pm ET, to hear from experts from Demand Justice, NAACP, National Education Assoc., and Student Borrower Protection Assoc. who will discuss why student debt cancelation is so important, what the Supreme Court might do in this case, and how you can make your voice heard.

See you next week!
