Marjorie Taylor Greene just called for a “national divorce” between red and blue states.

This isn’t the first time Greene has called for civil disobedience. She’s gone so far as to support calls to execute Democratic leaders. She said that she would have “won” on January 6 because they would have been armed if she led it.

Her rhetoric is dangerous and unfortunately, impactful. And what’s worse?

While she’s sparking violence, Speaker McCarthy has rewarded her with a position on the high profile House Homeland Security Committee—the committee that exists to keep the United States safe and secure.

We can’t believe we have to say this, but anyone who publicly endorses the dissolution of the United States has no place setting policy for our homeland security. This is urgent, John.
