Hello Team!
Today is International Women's Day, and we are reflecting on what that means for us here at Barrier to Entry PAC.
B/E is proudly 100% women owned and operated — by women of color, queer women, progressive women — who are committed to achieving social change through inclusive public leadership.
Does this mean we only support candidates who identify as women? Absolutely not.
Our mission is to dismantle an inequitable social system so that it is accessible to ALL. We are fighting for true equality and inclusivity by empowering everyday people to lead this country regardless of socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, culture, or creed.
However, given the patriarchal institution that we're disrupting, it's only natural that the majority of our candidates have been women of color, openly gay women, and transgender women -- because sadly and far too often, these are the individuals who are disproportionately marginalized and lack public visbility and representation the most.
But regardless of how our working-class B/E candidates identify, they always share at least one thing in common when it comes to gender: They are all fearless champions for women's rights.
Our movement is run by the 5 of us women who are unapologetic feminists working to elect like-minded leaders in the fight for equality. So today, in honor of International Women's Day, we're humbly asking for your support: Will you rush a $27 donation right now to empower us and advance this important work forward?
