Dear Friend,

I was born and raised in North Texas and I am honored to represent you in Congress. I ran for Congress because for too long, the voices of ordinary folks in North Texas were not being listened to. That’s why since I was sworn in, I have held more than 21 town halls and roundtables across the 32nd District. Hearing from you at these events helps me fight for North Texas values in Washington.

I was recently honored with the “Across the Aisle,” award for hosting a joint town hall in Ohio with my Republican colleague, Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (OH-16) last year. I received this honor from the Town Hall Project, a national organization working to keep Congress accountable by encouraging face-to-face conversations between the public and their Representatives.

The bipartisan joint town hall was a great opportunity to hear the perspective of Rep. Gonzalez’s constituents in Ohio. Understanding each other’s districts is a critical foundation for working together to get things done in Congress.

My top priorities are to lower health care costs across the board, protect Social Security and Medicare, support our veterans, invest in North Texas infrastructure and create an economy that works for everyone. But delivering real results for North Texas means finding common ground with both Republicans and Democrats.

Regardless of where you stand on the issues, listening to you is the most important part of my job. I encourage you to come out to one of my town hall events this year.

Sincerely,
