Happy International Women's Day! As a woman, this day holds special significance for me, and I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts with you.

Today, we celebrate the incredible achievements of women around the world, past and present. We honor the women who have come before us, who fought for our rights and freedoms, and who paved the way for the progress we have made today.

We also recognize the ongoing struggles that all women face, including discrimination, harassment, and inequality in all aspects of life. These challenges can be daunting, but I am inspired by the strength, resilience, and determination of the women I know and those I admire from afar.

As a woman, I am proud to be part of a community that is making a difference right here in Iowa. As a Democrat, we are working to empower women and girls, to break down barriers, and to create a more equitable and just society. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this movement, and I am honored to work alongside so many incredible women who share my passion and commitment.

So today, let's celebrate the progress we have made, and let's recommit ourselves to the work that still needs to be done. Let's stand together, as women and as allies, to create a world where every woman and girl can live a life of dignity, freedom, and opportunity.
