John,
Despite years of hard-fought progress, reproductive rights in the United States are under attack like never before.
Extreme abortion bans and other bills that roll back access to reproductive care and even criminalize abortion have been introduced in Republican-controlled states across the country, with some moving forward since the federal right to abortion guaranteed in Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court last year.
As your governor, I am committed to protecting reproductive rights in Maryland and making our state a safe haven for abortion.
That’s why I’ve joined the Reproductive Freedom Alliance, a coalition of 21 Democratic governors working together to protect and expand reproductive rights in our states.
I fully support four bills heading to the floor of our state legislature that will protect abortion access, privacy, and out-of-state patients—including a bill to create a constitutional amendment that will enshrine reproductive rights in the Maryland Constitution.
Will you help us build even more public support for this constitutional amendment to protect choice in Maryland by sharing our petition with your friends and family today? Forward this email to 3 or more people and share on social media:

Marylanders and members of the 20 other coalition states are coming together to stand up against the extreme, dangerous attacks on reproductive freedom. Thank you for being part of our movement.
Elevate,
Wes
