john, I wanted to share a quick recap of what I’ve been up to recently, and also hear from you for our March Priorities Survey:
I reintroduced the Protecting Access to Medication Abortion Act to protect access to medication abortion in the states where abortion is still legal – something that’s being threatened by a Trump-appointed judge in Texas. But with MAGA Republicans in control of the House, this bill is unlikely to pass.
To that end, I sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland urging him to quickly appeal the case should access to medication abortion be banned by this extreme, conservative judge.
I was also recently appointed Chair of the Senate Subcommittee on Commodities, Risk Management and Trade, where I will be representing Minnesota’s diverse agricultural sector.
This is a role I've been fighting for for a while now, especially as the Senate begins the work of passing a new Farm Bill. Agriculture is the backbone of our state's economy, and I am incredibly excited to take on this challenge.
john, those are my priorities, but now, I want to hear yours. My team and I are going to be very busy in the next few weeks, and I want to make sure your priorities are reflected in the work we do on the Senate floor.
Make your voice heard by letting me know what your issues are at the top of your list by filling out our March Priorities Survey today >>
I’m going to keep fighting for the things that matter most, and that means listening to the needs of you and your community. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
