John,
We are less than three months into 2023 and our nation has experienced over 100 mass shootings. This milestone is not only devastating, but unprecedented: This is the earliest the United States has reached 100 mass shootings after years of a steadily earlier date.
Meanwhile, gun lobby-backed lawmakers are pushing deadly permitless carry bills through state legislatures and Congress has still not banned assault weapons.
Donate today to help Brady push our lawmakers to take lifesaving action, like banning assault weapons. >> [[link removed]]
The cognitive dissonance of our lawmakers is disturbing, John. As a gun violence survivor, witnessing this continual tragedy is what drives me to fight each day and prevent more people from feeling the acute grief of losing a loved one to gun violence like I do. Because the harsh reality is that nowhere in America is safe as long as the gun violence epidemic rages on. And history has already shown us that if we do not address the problem, it will continue to get worse and more deadly.
Breaking deadly records and reading horrifying headlines daily does not have to be our normal, John. But it will take all of us, together, to change our country as we know it. We need to push our lawmakers to take action to protect us, in states and Congress, and stop the NRA's 'guns everywhere' agenda – that's what Brady is working to do every day.
If we are going to stop the next tragedy, I need your help today:
As a gun violence survivor and proud member of a survivor-led organization, I’m asking you to fuel this fight toward change: John, can you donate any amount you can right now and help us finally change this country? [[link removed]]

Some days are harder than others to keep pushing forward in this fight, but it's during the hard days that we have to remember that change is possible if we keep pushing forward.
Thank you.
