John,
I’m Tim LaBombard, and I’m the president of the IBEW Local 300 in Vermont. Becca Balint knows that unions built the middle class. Our union helps us advocate for good wages, safe workplaces, and on-the-job training. But over the last few decades, some employers have made unionizing much more difficult. I’m grateful to be a part of a union, and I believe that every worker should be able to unionize.
Congress must pass the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act to protect and expand workers’ rights, so I’m asking if you’ll stand with unions and Congresswoman Becca Balint by signing on in support of the PRO Act.
I know firsthand the power of unions and collective power, and so does Becca — and we both know we need to take more steps to protect and expand workers’ rights.
To protect workers and unions, the PRO Act would restore and expand the rights of workers to unionize and bargain for higher pay, better benefits, and safer workplaces. This legislation would also hold employers accountable for violating workers’ rights.
The PRO Act was reintroduced last week in the House, so now is the time to stand with us in support of this critical legislation. Sign on today to stand with union workers and Becca Balint in support of the PRO Act.
SIGN ON
We need to fight tooth and nail for the right to organize and unionize at the federal level.
Thank you,
Tim LaBombard, IBEW Local 300
