Team,

March is Women's History Month, and today, we celebrate International Women's Day.

Fairness and equality are core American values. Women have led the charge to ensure our government lives up to the ideals enshrined in the Constitution.

We stand on the shoulders of American women who have led the fight for justice since before our nation was born. Thanks to their sacrifices and hard work, we have come a long way in the fight for gender equality. Still, our work is not yet over.

Las year, an extremist-packed Supreme Court stripped away years of settled law by overturning Roe v. Wade – which granted women the legal right to bodily autonomy and the right to choose whether or not to have an abortion.

Team, I want to be clear: None of us will be truly equal until all of us are — no matter our race, socioeconomic background, or gender. That's why I won't stop fighting until these fundamental rights are protected.

Gender equality means equal pay for equal work. It means strong paid leave. It means greenlighting common-sense anti-discrimination legislation. And it also means the right to access safe and legal reproductive health care.

So that's why I'm asking: On this International Women's Day, will you join me in recommitting to the fight for equality by adding your name? >> [link removed]

Thanks for your support.

In solidarity,

Derek
