Thirty-five protestors were detained after throwing rocks, fireworks, and Molotov cocktails at the site of a new police training facility, the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, known by activists as "Cop City." At least 23 people face domestic terrorism charges.

** U.S. lawmakers introduce a record-breaking number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills

U.S. government officials have proposed a record-breaking number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills so far this year, with 150 pieces of legislation being pre-filed, introduced, or passed in 23 states.
In total, the American Civil Liberties Union is tracking 371 anti-LGBTQ+ bills, many of which are targeting transgender communities.

** Migrant convoy with 103 unaccompanied minors discovered as border crisis continues

In the Mexican state of Veracruz, 103 unaccompanied migrant children were found with 212 unrelated adults in an abandoned truck. It is the largest discovery of migrant children found in recent history. They were all wearing color-coded bracelets that identified them as the clients of people smugglers.
