John —

March is Women’s History Month — our chance to celebrate the women who
have made our country and our democracy what it is today, and whose
commitment to progress drives us forward.

No one embodies those virtues more than my good friend Nancy Pelosi.

As the former Speaker is fond of saying, “the times have found us.” But
again and again, the times have found her — and our country has reaped the
benefits.

Speaker Pelosi is the most effective legislative leader in a generation.
She ensured tens of millions more Americans would have the health care
they deserve. She was instrumental in passing legislation like the Lilly
Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, bolstering protections against pay discrimination.
She helped pass the most significant investment in climate action in
history, and one of the most substantial investments in infrastructure in
ages. And she held the former President accountable for his attempts to
wreak havoc on our democracy — even in the face of relentless right-wing
smears and attacks.

On top of all that, the former Speaker has paved the way for the next
generation of leadership — encouraging countless folks to run for office
(myself included!). The 118th Congress is our most diverse to date, and
Nancy Pelosi’s efforts have a lot to do with that.

I hope you’ll join me in celebrating her — and all the women who have made
America a more perfect Union!

Thanks,

Adam
