Hi John,
This year, I’m spending International Women’s Day celebrating fierce mamas who are leading the way in elected office — but on the other hand, I’m also reflecting on what still needs to change and how I can be a part of it.
From Senator Machaela Cavanaugh in Nebraska, who filibustered to protest Legislative Bill 574, which would ban gender-affirming, life-saving care for transgender youth, to Attorney General Kris Mayes of Arizona who is at the helm of the battle to preserve our democracy — Vote Mama alumni are working tirelessly to defend our rights, stand against hate, and champion equality.
The voices and advocacy of these Vote Mama women are so desperately needed right now.
Currently, women make up more than half of the U.S. population, but only 28% of the 117th Congress. It’s no wonder the system is broken.
Because of your support though, the Vote Mama team provides critical funding and support for candidates like Sen. Cavanaugh, Attorney General Mayes, and other moms up and down the ticket, all across the country.
Here at Vote Mama, we know that the path to gender equity in Congress means breaking down systemic barriers. There are so many ways we can support moms running for office and promote gender equity — from training, to mentorship, to sending financial resources and volunteer support.
And John, you can make a real difference this International Women’s Day by lifting our Democratic mamas in their fight for equality. Can we count on your support to help these trailblazing women get elected with a $16 donation today? Make a contribution now >>

The truth is that this work costs money, but because of grassroots donors like you, we are pushing forward, electing strong moms and women, and making it happen.
