It's 715 miles from Baltimore to Madison, Wisconsin where my friend US Senator Tammy Baldwin was born and raised. We represent different states, but we share a deep commitment to fighting for those least able to stand up for themselves. Tammy's up for re-election this Senate cycle and she needs our support. Tammy's life prepared her to be the strong fighter for working families she has been since her first election to the U.S. Senate in 2012. Tammy was diagnosed with spinal meningitis at 9 and overcame that illness, but later found out she was ineligible for health care coverage because she was considered to have a "pre-existing condition". From patient rights, access to quality health care, educational opportunity, civil rights, economic security and more, she has been a fierce advocate for everyday Americans.
Tammy can't afford to take anything for granted in her re-election race. As you may remember, Donald Trump won Wisconsin in 2016 and Joe Biden only narrowly won the Badger state in 2020. Last November, pro-Trump Republican Ron Johnson, Wisconsin's other US Senator, defied predictions and won re-election to another 6 year term.
That's why I am asking if you can split a donation today of $10 or more between Tammy Baldwin's and my campaign to support our work to maintain our Democratic Senate majority. A contribution now helps Democrats build strong grassroots campaigns early and be well-prepared as we move full steam ahead toward Election Day 2024. Give here: [link removed]
Rest-assured Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans will have their eyes on Tammy's seat as one of their top targets this cycle. With our help, she will be prepared for the fight ahead.
As always, thank you for all you do to protect and fight for our democracy.
Onwards,
Chris
