On International Women’s Day, it’s only appropriate that we celebrate and support women. Unfortunately, not everyone knows what a woman is.

We do. With that knowledge, we understand forcing female athletes to compete against biological males is unfair—not to mention discriminatory. Allowing biological males to take awards, roster spots, scholarships, or spots at a school from female athletes violates Title IX’s prohibition of discrimination “on the basis of sex.”

Recently, Senator Tuberville introduced the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. This bill makes that explicitly clear and puts athletic organizations, athletic directors, and bureaucrats at the Department of Education on notice that they may not adopt policies that promote “inclusion” at the expense of women.

Former U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy Devos: Hostages No More

The Women Who’ve Served

Of the nearly 3,500 Medal of Honor recipients, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker is the only female recipient ever to have been awarded the honor, despite the fact that nearly 77% of female veterans have served during wartime. She is neither a post-9/11 veteran nor a World War II veteran; she was the first female U.S. Army surgeon, a prisoner of war, and a suspected spy during the Civil War. Major Generals Sherman and Thomas both personally recommended her for the medal in 1865. President Andrew Johnson readily acquiesced.
