John,
It's almost here: we're getting ready for another exciting Lead Out Loud Day (formerly National Out to Win Day). This is our annual event where we encourage LGBTQ+ people to consider a run for office and to think about the positive changes they can make in their community. We know that LGBTQ+ people, women, and people of color have to be asked more times before they decide to run. We want to be their first ask - and we want them to say yes!
And this year, we have a special ask of you, John. We're gathering notes for a special group of LGBTQ+ elected officials. We want to thank them for running and inspiring the next generation of leaders. Add your note today - it might even be read out loud on camera!
Lead Out Loud Day is a day to celebrate the huge steps forward this community has made and to honor those that have run before. That's why we're sending our gratitude to historic LGBTQ+ leaders and asking them for their advice to future candidates. We’ll be in touch soon with more information, exciting announcements - including your notes read by the elected officials themselves! - and so much more. So mark your calendars for April 2nd, and get ready for the best Lead Out Loud Day yet. In the meantime, submit your notes for these LGBTQ+ elected officials here!
Thanks for adding your notes,
Elliot Imse
