Today, in celebration of International Women’s Day, we want to honor the feminist activists we fund across the globe. The resilience and strength of these activists in the face of threats, adversity, and rights abuses is emblematic of a larger feminist movement - one that fights for equality and justice each and every day.
Urgent Action Fund exists to support activists at critical moments. We provide rapid and flexible resources to feminist activists so that they can respond to challenges that arise in moments of urgency and uncertainty.
Our world is unfortunately full of these unexpected and trying moments. That’s why we’ve created our Crisis Response Fund ([link removed]) . When crises arise, this fund ensures that we can remain nimble and respond when activists are working to meet urgent humanitarian, collective care, or survival needs.
We are currently working to support marginalized communities and activists impacted by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. This kind of unprecedented and catastrophic event is exactly what the Crisis Response Fund ([link removed]) is for - getting urgently needed resources to those on the frontlines in real time and when support is needed the most.
