In 2018, when my sister Carolyn Bourdeaux took on Rep. Woodall here in GA-7, we faced some of the most egregious voter suppression tactics in the country.
In fact, I spent more than three weeks after Election Day in the Board of Elections office fighting to make sure that every ballot was counted. The lengths that bad-intentioned politicians will go to silence the will of the voters was truly shocking to me.
From claiming that signatures don’t match, to erasing registrations for voters who haven’t voted recently, to using voting machines with known vulnerabilities to hacking – I discovered that you can measure a candidate’s worth by how badly they don’t want your vote to count.
Carolyn is committed to fighting for the voices of voters in GA-7, but she needs you to join her in calling for national legislation to fight voter suppression.

Team Carolyn is already laying the groundwork to combat voter suppression in the 2020 election. They’re working hard to reach out to every voter in the district, check registrations, and make sure that folks have the information they need to make their voices heard in the upcoming election.
But all of the organizing in the world won’t help us if politicians like Brian Kemp can continue running rampant voter suppression campaigns in the states where they hold power.

Thanks so much – I know it means a lot to Carolyn to have her supporters standing with her on critical issues like this!
