We are only into the first week of March and our country has already surpassed 100 mass shootings. If this statistic disgusts you as much as it does us, add your name to our latest petition.
According to the Gun Violence Archive, the US hit 100 mass shootings on March 19 last year, almost two weeks after this year’s date. 2021 saw 100 mass shootings in late March as well and from 2018-2020, there weren’t 100 mass shootings until May.
These statistics prove what we’ve been saying for years: Gun violence is a growing epidemic, but it can be prevented.
We are the only first-world nation accepting this level of violence. Our political leaders are more concerned with banning books and demonizing queer culture than they are with actually keeping our children safe.
