Friend,
There is a childcare crisis in America.
More and more Americans are struggling to make ends meet, and working
parents are spending a shocking percentage of their income simply to pay
for childcare.
Half of new parents have to spend at least 20% of their income on
childcare. Single parents earning an average wage have to spend 35% of
their income.
And the problem is getting worse. Real wages are stagnant, and childcare
costs are [ [link removed] ]growing even faster than inflation.
We have to fix this.
[ [link removed] ]Sign if you agree: Congress must take action to cap childcare costs.

The lack of affordable, quality childcare is a national problem and
requires a comprehensive national solution. We can’t be distracted by
bogus excuses like “we can’t afford it.” [ [link removed] ]The average wealthy democracy
contributes 28 times more than the United States to support its citizens’
childcare needs. Canada, for example, just made quality childcare
available for just $10 a day. In one of the world’s wealthiest countries,
why can’t we do the same?
[ [link removed] ]TAKE ACTION: Sign the petition telling Congress to cap costs for
quality childcare.
Onward,
