President Biden will be making a final decision any day now, so we have to move quickly.
Our movement is making headlines, John:
Our overwhelming public opposition to the Willow project caught the White House off guard. Still, our work isn’t over yet.
President Biden is considering approving a scaled back version of the plan with fewer drill sites – but that’s not enough. To reach global climate goals and save our planet, we can’t allow any new fossil fuel infrastructure to be created.
President Biden will be making a final decision any day now, so we have to move quickly. This project will impact all of us, so we need to get this issue onto newspaper pages across the country. Will you submit a letter to the editor in your local newspaper calling on Biden to fully reject the Willow project?

John, the science is clear: to avoid the irreversible climate devastation that will result from overshooting 1.5°C of global warming, we must end all new investment in fossil fuel projects and immediately begin to phase out production.
But at the exact time when humanity must begin urgently phasing out fossil fuels, oil and gas companies like ConocoPhillips are proposing new drilling sites and projects that would set us back – with devastating consequences.
If approved, the Willow project would emit 287 million metric tons of pollution over the next 30 years.
Not to mention, the Western Arctic is already warming four times faster than the rest of the world. This same region is home to a predominantly Iñupiaq village of about 500 people who are already living through extreme pollution from existing oil projects.
There are so many reasons to reject the Willow project, John. With your help, we can share these facts in newspapers across the country and up the pressure on President Biden to stop the Willow project. Please take a moment to send in your own letter to the editor now:
