Good morning, friend,
You may know me from welcoming me into your home for 37 years as I covered life in Tampa Bay from the FOX 13 anchor desk. Or perhaps we met in person last November at Poynter’s Bowtie Ball where we celebrated journalism with the Pulitzer Prize-winning reporting team from the Tampa Bay Times and honored the esteemed careers of legendary reporters Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward.
One thing I know for sure — credible, trustworthy journalism is central to a healthy and informed community. And Poynter is the place to meet trusted journalists for lively conversations about the news and issues that matter.
That’s why I am so pleased to let you know that I will be at Poynter on March 23 to moderate a conversation with celebrated NBC News National Correspondent — and my former colleague — the incomparable Kerry Sanders.
Kerry has dedicated four decades of his life traveling 200+ days a year to report live, from international war zones to the eyes of dozens of hurricanes right here in Florida. He took us to the heart of stories from 50 states, 65 countries and all seven continents (plus the North Pole as pictured above!) over 32 years at NBC News — all with a sense of wonder.
In Kerry’s own words, “It has been a dream come true.”
On March 23, let’s meet at Poynter’s beautiful campus in downtown St. Pete to thank Kerry for sharing his dream with us while keeping us well informed along the way. |
VIP experience starts at 5:30 p.m.
Mix and mingle during an international wine reception with live music followed by a three-course dinner prepared by our friends at Lolita’s Wine Market.
Featured conversation will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Let’s explore Kerry’s reporting, go behind the scenes of his award-winning career and learn about his next big adventure: retirement! |
See you at Poynter on March 23! |
