TLC reality show star and pro-life advocate Jessa (Duggar) Seewald recently shared with the world her tragic miscarriage story.

Jessa shared that after her baby died in utero, her body did not recognize the death and therefore did not deliver the child naturally. This is why, three weeks after her baby’s heartbeat stopped, Jessa had a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure to help pass the deceased child from her body.

Horribly, pro-abortion media quickly began to exploit Jessa’s miscarriage. They lied, accusing Jessa of being a hypocrite for standing for life, and insisted that her miscarriage treatment was actually an abortion.

Pro-abortion pundits railed that Jessa was given life-saving medical care while other women who need this kind of care are being denied.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. We have to combat these malicious lies.

Abortion and miscarriage are not the same thing - not even remotely. One intentionally kills a child, the other does not.

There’s a major misinformation campaign right now by pro-abortion news groups, medical groups, and activists to convince people that legal abortion is necessary to somehow treat a miscarriage.

These horrible lies are shaming women who get miscarriage treatment, and an attempt to destigmatize the brutal abortion procedures that actually end innocent human lives.

When a child dies in miscarriage, if the child has not passed naturally, sometimes a drug or D&C procedure may be used to help pass the child’s body. An induced abortion, however, is the intentional killing of a child.

This misinformation is just the latest example of pro-abortion activists trying to normalize the intentional killing of a living child.

When abortion becomes fully illegal and unthinkable, women who experience the tragedy of miscarriage will still have access to D&C procedures when their deceased babies are not passing naturally.

The lies permeating our culture about abortion are destructive, and they are fueled by a billion-dollar abortion industry, entertainment elites, and the media.
