Public service and labor union heritage runs deep in my family.

My great grandfather was an immigrant from Northern Ireland, and I recently learned that he was a South San Francisco elections worker, while also a member of the railroad union. My grandfather was a member of the Machinists’ union while working at Bayview-Hunters Point. And my father, Gene Mullin, was a high school civics teacher for 30+ years while also heading the local teachers’ union, before becoming a mayor and an Assemblymember. I share in their dedication to fair elections and championing voting rights and workers’ rights.

I’m honored to celebrate their service (and our Irish heritage) this St. Patrick’s Day. Will you join me to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Wednesday, March 15th, in Millbrae? I hope you can make it. ([link removed])
