All eyes are on our campaign right now.

The Washington Post just covered our race. Their reporting reinforced what we’ve known for a while: our race will be a major and early signal about the direction of the Democratic Party in 2020.

Why? Well, their description of Henry Cuellar sums it up pretty well: “An anti-abortion Democrat who supports gun rights” in a “safely Democratic [district], having rejected Donald Trump by a 20-point margin.”

His anti-reproductive freedom record and A-rating from the NRA are not representative of our community. Instead, it’s just further evidence of why he’s Trump’s favorite Democrat.

The people of South Texas are fed up and ready for a new voice in Congress. That’s why Jessica is in this race, and together, our progressive, grassroots campaign can send a powerful message that we will no longer tolerate leaders who put corporate special interests before the people.
