Michiganders support safe and legal access to abortion and are ready to fight back against measures that take away our reproductive freedom.

Michigan Democrats know this and they’re working hard to protect abortion access in our state. Just days ago, House Democrats voted to repeal Michigan’s unconstitutional 1931 abortion ban that would criminalize abortion. This bill still needs to pass the state senate and be signed by Governor Whitmer before it’s official.

Repealing this law would make it clear for every Michigander: reproductive freedom is a constitutional right in our state.

But it’s no shock that Michigan Republicans are largely opposed and want to keep this law on the books. They’re resorting to fearmongering and making extreme claims to try and stop the repeal of this bill.

Michigan Democrats know how important it is to fight back. They won’t stop until the archaic 1931 abortion ban is removed entirely from the books but they need our support.
