It’s a bill I introduced earlier this month.

I share it for two reasons: first, because it’s important legislation that deserves support. We have way too many missing indigenous women in this country and not enough attention to the problem.

But I also share it because while I am running for Senate, I am still a Congressman at the same time.

And the truth is, the response to emails like this one is generally so good that it really allows me to prioritize my work as a Congressman. That means the world to me, because I got into this job to serve, not to spend a ton of time calling donors and holding fundraisers.

But it also means I have to ask — especially with this being an FEC fundraising deadline month.
