#NAFCUNation: New campaign to elevate CU advocacy, celebrate industry ([link removed] )
NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger Monday announced a new digital and social media campaign – #NAFCUNation – to elevate the credit union industry and tout its efforts to serve millions of Americans and support local communities. Through #NAFCUNation, member credit unions are encouraged to share stories to help the association amplify its ongoing advocacy with federal lawmakers and regulators, conversations with the press, and public outreach.

Ahead of today’s Senate Banking Committee hearing to examine the Federal Reserve’s Semiannual Monetary Policy Report to Congress, NAFCU Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler wrote to the committee offering comments on several Fed rulemakings and initiatives. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will testify at the hearing, which is set for 10 a.m. Eastern.

NAFCU Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler wrote to the Senate Finance Committee (SFC) ahead of its hearing on the role of tax policy in expanding the supply of affordable housing to express support for the Neighborhood Investment Act and the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act. Thaler explained the pair of bills would “help address America’s housing affordability crisis and provide common-sense housing solutions for underserved communities.”
