VCC is Transitioning to a New Membership Management System

Dear VCC Members & Choice Insider Subscribers,

We are writing to inform you that Vaccine Choice Canada has switched to a
NEW MEMBERSHIP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM that makes it easier for new members to
join VCC and for existing members to manage their membership. The new
system treats memberships like a subscription – IT RENEWS AUTOMATICALLY
and avoids the need for members to log in and re-enter their payment
information every year.

The new system also provides the capability to:

* Become a member of VCC and check membership information without need of
a password to remember. Each time you need to sign in it sends a one-time
authorization code to your email

* Pay for membership via monthly or yearly payments

* Change or update credit card payment information

* View historical payments and download invoices

* Suspend or cancel membership

* Make secure one-time or recurring donations to VCC

* Purchase VCC memberships as a gift for family and friends (coming soon)

 

Accepting New Members and Renewals

At this time, the new system is fully functional for creating NEW
memberships and for DONATIONS.

 

Migrating Existing Members

VCC is in the process of migrating membership records from our old
membership management system. Until this task is completed, existing
members will not be able to see their membership when clicking the MY
ACCOUNT link on the VCC website menu bar.

To transition to the new subscription-based system, it will be necessary
for existing members to RE-JOIN VCC when their existing membership expires.
Instructions for this one-time process are included in the membership
renewal email that members receive when their membership is due for
renewal.

 

 

Notifications for All Cases

Under the new system, members will be sent an email 5 days prior to when
their next membership payment is due. This email will identify the date,
amount and credit card that will be charged for the membership payment.
Members will also be notified by email whenever the credit card used for
membership payment has expired or is due to expire before the date of
payment. Links will be provided in both of these emails to enable the
member to manage their membership status and their credit card information.

 

New System is Secure

Credit card information used to pay for VCC membership is encrypted and
stored securely by VCC's payment service provider. No credit card
information is stored on VCC's website. Neither new system nor the payment
gateway are able to read the encrypted credit card information.

 

Alternative Payment Methods

For members who would prefer not to use a credit card for their membership
payment, the options to pay via e-transfer, cheque or money order are still
available by following the instructions at the bottom of the BECOME A VCC
MEMBER [2] web page.

 

Easy Newsletter Subscription Management

CHOICE INSIDER subscribers are now able to manage their CI newsletter
subscription without needing to log into their account on the VCC website.
A link has been added to the bottom of each Choice Insider email that
enables CI subscribers to manage their subscription.

 

Adjusted Pricing

For VCC to be able to provide the increased ease of use and security that
the new membership management system provides, it has been necessary to
increase membership fees for individuals, families and professionals by
$10/year. Additionally, recognizing that members have different capacities
to support VCC, a new membership category has been added that allows a
member to enter their membership contribution amount.
