[[link removed]]URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Beavers are critical to our climate and ecosystems, and we
must demand bold action to protect them from cruel hunting and trapping!

Popular for their iconic buck-teeth and round furry faces, biologists have
dubbed beavers as “ecosystem engineers” and “climate-solving heroes.”

These busy little animals are a keystone species that play an essential role in supporting healthy wetlands, helping to fight drought and mitigate climate change. Their dams provide a nature-based remedy for carbon drawdown and provide vital services like water storage and filtration, natural firebreaks, and fish and wildlife
habitat.

But beavers are being VICIOUSLY KILLED in staggering numbers across the country. Tens of thousands of these beloved
mammals are trapped, snared, and shot every year.

That’s why we’re calling on the Biden Administration to issue an executive order BANNING beaver hunting and trapping on federally-managed public lands as an emergency climate change response. But without action from environmentalists like you, Friend, we won’t make a strong enough impact. Can we count on you to step
up now and protect beavers before it’s too late?

[[link removed]]Our wetland ecosystems would COLLAPSE if it weren’t for beavers, which would threaten our entire planet’s climate and
biodiversity. Wetlands store massive amounts of carbon from the atmosphere and support 80% of biodiversity in the American West, despite only covering 2% of the total land area.

Beaver ponds and lodges provide shelter and food for dozens of species,
including some that are threatened or endangered. And beaver dams slow down the flow of water, so the water stays on land for
longer -- making it available to both animals and people. Wetlands and ponds maintained by beavers even improve water quality itself.

But recreational trappers are MURDERING precious beavers just to make a few dollars from their fur or to steal castoreum, a natural
beaver secretion that humans use to scent perfume and flavor food.

State fish and game agencies have FAILED to sufficiently protect beavers and help their fragile population recover, so
bold action at the executive level of government is needed immediately. Friend, will you help save these beloved climate
superheroes? Demand an END to beaver trapping and hunting on federally-managed
public lands NOW! >>
