Hi John, I wanted to share some exciting news with you.
The basic foundation of the American Dream is that if you put in good, honest, hard work, you will be able to live a good life in this country – but with rising costs and an uncertain economy, that equation is broken for working class people.
That’s why last week I joined my colleagues in introducing the bipartisan Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act – which strengthens protections for workers’ right to organize a union and bargain for higher wages, better benefits, and safer working conditions.
As a former union member myself, I’ve seen firsthand how collective bargaining puts the power back into the hands of our workers. For generations, our nation's labor unions have ensured workers receive a fair share of the profits they produce.
I am proud to be an original cosponsor of the PRO Act, which will help restore the balance and ensure that in America, hard work pays off.
