I am proud to be the first woman ever to lead BOLD PAC, the campaign arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and continue their work of expanding Hispanic representation in Congress.

Growing up one of seven children, I saw my parents’ tireless work to provide for us and set us up for a bright future. Despite not having graduated high school themselves, they made sure all seven of us became first-generation college graduates. Thanks to their sacrifices, I learned the importance of dedication, hard work, and community – values I still uphold today.

As a first-generation college graduate, I was confronted with many of the same barriers that impede the Hispanic community from running for office. As the new Chair of the BOLD PAC, I will fight to ensure Latinos and Latinas across the US feel empowered to run and have the resources they need to win. And as many of our fundamental rights, including voting access and reproductive freedom, come under attack, we must have a Congress that represents ALL of us.

In 2022, we helped elect nine new Democratic Latinos to Congress. As we work to take back the majority, it’s clear that the Democratic House majority runs through BOLD PAC. I’m so excited to see what we can accomplish together.
