This weekend, the annual Conservative Political Action Conference took place — aka “CPAC.” It’s a time for the worst of the worst of Republican political figures to gather and rile up their extremist base. 

We were treated to speeches from Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and even Donald Trump himself. Each one was more insane and full of lies than the last. 

There were attacks on the LGBTQ+ community, President Zelenskyy, and teaching children America’s racial history, to name a few. This is the current state of the Republican party — and it’s terrifying.
