Walgreens bows to pressure from 20 GOP Attorney Generals; won’t provide critical abortion medication, even where abortion is legal

Late last week, Walgreens has said that it will not dispense or mail prescriptions for abortion pills in states where they MAY get pressure from Republican extremists. Read that again: not where abortion is illegal, just where they may get Republican pushback.
Walgreens may be cowards, but we are not. Since medication abortion is the most common form of abortion care in the U.S., this spineless action will have a devastating impact on Americans everywhere.
The GOP is controlling private businesses and to try and control our bodies. This is part of a gameplan, but we won’t play by their rules. We are coming for what they are trying their hardest to protect: profits and power.
Women’s March is calling for nationwide boycott to protest this gutless decision and fight for medication abortion access. Show up in your city or state.
