Dear John,

You may have already heard, but after careful consideration, I have decided to not seek the Republican nomination for President.

I’m not a career politician, and that has never been my aspiration. However, I will continue to stay in the fight. Our country is way off track and in desperate need of new leadership.

With your support, we already showed a better path forward. Together, we cut taxes and regulations eight years in a row, turned a record deficit into a record surplus, stood behind our brave police, and led the charge against elitist higher education policies.

I will stand with anyone who shares a common sense conservative vision for the Republican Party and can help get us back to winning elections again. Though I will not be a candidate for my party’s nomination for president, I’ve only just begun fighting for our future.

I hope you will continue to stand with me.
