Earlier this year, we were in a difficult spot. We had hit a fundraising slump over the holidays, and we were worried we might not have the necessary resources to continue powering the NDR PAC’s work to elect pro-democracy candidates nationwide.

But last month, this grassroots team showed up in a huge way, and we hit our February fundraising goal. With a critically important election just around the corner in Wisconsin, this was exactly the boost we needed.

Next month, Wisconsin will hold a state supreme court election, which The New York Times has called “2023’s Biggest, Most Unusual Race.” The outcome will have massive consequences for the future of abortion rights and voting rights in Wisconsin, and could even influence the state’s 2024 presidential election.

Republicans have already started pouring cash into Wisconsin, and experts are predicting this could become the most expensive state supreme court contest in U.S. history. That’s why it’s crucial that we maintain a strong grassroots fundraising pace for our work in Wisconsin and states across the country.

There is a lot at stake, John. But as President Obama has emphasized, “Our democracy is resilient as long as we stay engaged and active.”
