YOU’RE INVITED!

California Environmental Voters is excited to invite you to our upcoming advocacy training for SB 253, where we will teach you how to directly support our sponsored bill becoming law. There is no experience necessary!

Sign up for one of the upcoming virtual advocacy trainings:

Hey friend, we can’t wait to see you at one of our upcoming virtual advocacy trainings for our sponsored bill SB 253, the Climate Corporate Leadership and Accountability Act! Are you free tomorrow or Wednesday?

A little background on the bill: Corporations contribute to the majority of our planet’s emissions, but the details of how much they emit are still kept secret. SB 253 would be a first-in-the-nation measure to require all large U.S.-based corporations that make over $1 billion annually and do business in California to publicly report their full greenhouse gas footprint in a way that is accessible and understandable to the public.

In the virtual training, we will walk you through how best to make phone calls as a constituent to your state legislator, and how to meet face to face with your state legislator or their staff to urge them to support the SB 253.

We’re closer than ever to making SB 253 law in California, but we need all hands on deck. This year, the coalition supporting the bill is bigger and more diverse than ever, and we want to include you, too!

Thank you for standing with us.
