John, a flurry of legislation has made the news this last week as the Florida legislature creeps further toward the edge of fascism. 

One such bill makes it easier for the state, or a candidate, to sue a journalist over negative coverage and would revoke protections from anonymous sources. Another would require bloggers to register with the state if they report on Government officials such as the governor. 

This is all on the heels of DeSantis' cross-country tour and his so-called embrace of "freedom" in Florida. That freedom, ironically, does not include the option to read certain books or take certain classes in schools that the state has determined as "woke." 

If Ron DeSantis is the GOP nominee for President in 2024, this is what we are facing. These are the kinds of laws and restrictions on freedom and the first amendment that we may see come to fruition nationally. We have a thin majority in the Senate, and we have the White House, but we can't keep it without defending it all...can you chip in and help us get a head start on defending the Presidency?
