URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop Formosa Plastics from building another mega-polluting plastics factory in CANCER ALLEY! Act now!

This massive project would span 2,400 acres along the Mississippi River in Louisiana. The region is known as “Cancer Alley” because of its high chemical pollution from OVER 200 PETROCHEMICAL PLANTS and refineries. Adding another polluting project to this “sacrifice zone” further threatens local communities, ecosystems, and wildlife along the Mississippi River!

On top of all that, the factory would continue the overproduction of plastics that drives the PLASTICS APOCALYPSE filling our oceans and contaminating our food, water, and air. When wildlife eats plastic waste, it can be FATAL. President Biden has the power to revoke Formosa Plastic’s permit, but we need YOUR HELP to convince him. Please, Friend, help STOP greedy Formosa Plastics from building its catastrophic petrochemical plant in Cancer Alley before it’s too late! Sign by 11:59pm TONIGHT!

The plastics plant would add even more TOXIC POLLUTION to a predominately Black and low-income community already on the frontlines of corporate greed. Chemical pollution has been linked to respiratory damage and liver, brain, or heart problems, and… you guessed it: CANCER! But Formosa Plastics is still willing to risk this community’s health for its own profit.

Formosa Plastics illegally released billions of plastic pellets into local waterways for years in Texas, and now it’s attempting to expand its harmful operations in Louisiana. Stand up to Formosa Plastics and tell President Biden to stop this plastics factory! If just 1 of every 7 people reading this email takes action, we can make a REAL DIFFERENCE!
