John,

Last month, EMILYs List proudly endorsed civil rights advocate and public servant Judge Janet Protasiewicz in her race for Wisconsin's state supreme court.

After decisively winning her primary last month, she's gearing up for one of the most consequential general elections since the overturning of Roe v. Wade last summer. Her opponent is a proud anti-choice extremist who’s endorsed by three anti-abortion groups in the state and couldn't be a greater threat to democracy or abortion access in Wisconsin.

As a former assistant district attorney, Janet's deep commitments to her community and impartiality have made her voice critical to the progress of Wisconsin's justice system for over 35 years.

Here's the thing, John: The current makeup of Wisconsin’s supreme court is heavily weighted in favor of anti-democracy and anti-choice interests but Janet's race provides a unique opportunity to flip the ideological balance of the court.

This year, the court is facing two hugely consequential cases: Republican efforts to undermine voting rights via redistricting and the legality of an 1849 abortion ban. Needless to say, the results of both will affect millions.

We are proud to stand with candidates like Judge Janet, who are facing higher stakes than ever. Are you ready to step up? Donate now to support and help elect pro-choice, pro-democracy women to key offices across the country:
