Senators call on banking regulators to scrutinize Zelle fraud ([link removed] )
As more consumers fall victim to fraud scams on peer-to-peer (P2P) payment apps, a group of Democrat senators sent a letter to federal banking regulators – including the NCUA – calling on the agencies to review customer reimbursement and anti-money laundering (AML) practices of financial institutions that participate in the Zelle network.

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., and Sen. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., wrote to federal banking regulators with concerns over a recent bulletin from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which tells cryptocurrency platforms that they should consider their customers’ digital assets when performing risk analyses.

The Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund is seeking public comment on financial assistance and technical assistance applications for the CDFI program and Native American CDFI Assistance (NACA) program.
