Bob fights for us against corporate special interests that don’t play by the rules — and his leadership continues to attract national attention.
Recently, Bob’s antitrust work was referenced in Law360, a national legal news outlet. This work plays a crucial role in encouraging competition in the marketplace. They prevent corporations from creating monopolies, fixing prices, or other unfair business practices that harm consumers.
The article focused on Bob’s recent legal action in the proposed merger of two of our largest grocery stores — Kroger and Albertsons. The article highlighted Bob’s “approach to the planned merger between supermarket chains Albertsons and Kroger is the latest of several actions placing [Bob] at the forefront of antitrust issues nationwide.”
Bob is standing up on behalf of consumers. He filed a lawsuit against Facebook for their unlawful business practices to create a monopoly in the social networking market. He stopped price-fixing and collusion in the chicken industry and won a $10.5 million settlement with Tyson Foods for their unlawful actions.
One legal expert said it well, “Bob certainly makes the Mount Rushmore for the more aggressive attorneys general in the country right now in protecting consumers.”
No matter the industry, Bob is fighting for a fair marketplace for consumers. And when Bob takes on large corporations who don’t play by the rules all the time for Washingtonians, his cases get results not just for us here in Washington, but
across the entire country.
Bob will keep fighting for consumers and holding powerful corporate interests accountable, but it’s important that he knows you’re on his side. Will you add your name to our petition if you support Bob’s work?
Thank you,
Team Ferguson
