Like a black hole, the Republican Party’s gravitational pull absorbs
craven political opportunists and conspiracy theorists from the margins of
the party into its very core.

Marjorie Taylor Greene went from being a fringe Member kicked off her
committees for inciting violence against her colleagues, and someone who
was spreading lies about a Rothschild-funded “Jewish space laser,” to a
MAGA power broker and one of Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s staunchest and most
important allies.

As Donald Trump and his imitators continue to debase our politics and
destroy our political norms and guardrails, it is more important than ever
that we have a fighter in the U.S. Senate. Someone who will stand up to
Trump’s very worst enablers in that chamber. And hold them accountable.
Someone who will help put our country back on the right track.

Someone like Adam Schiff.

When virtually every Republican on Capitol Hill was willing to excuse
Trump’s abuses of office and accept such immorality as the new normal,
