Welcome to The Agenda (yeah - THAT agenda), your weekly update on what's happening in the LGBTQ political world. Whatever you do, don’t forward it to Mike Pence. He doesn't need to know what we're planning! Forward it to a friend instead.

Overview: A real, live Rainbow Revolution in the United States Congress!
THE GAYEST SENATOR EVER
We rolled out a huge new endorsement slate this week! Learn about all 35 of our new candidates here.
We’re diving head first into one of the biggest races of the year: Maine’s Senate race and taking on the much-maligned Susan Collins. Meet Ross LaJeunesse, the human rights activist and former Google executive who’s going to beat her. He would also be the first gay man elected to the U.S. Senate!
Want to learn a little more about Ross? Read his open letter to Senator Collins, urging her to hold Trump accountable (she hasn’t). Or watch his recent interview with MSNBC, detailing his efforts to reform corporate culture.
What would Ross tackle on his first day in office? The priorities of Maine’s voters, of course.
DOUBLING LGBTQ REPRESENTATION IN CONGRESS
Ross isn’t our only federal endorsement! We’re also endorsing two more openly LGBTQ women in their races for U.S. House: Pat Hackett (IN-02) and Tracy Mitrano (NY-23).
• Pat, who would be the first openly LGBTQ person elected to Congress from Indiana, also earned the endorsement of South Bend’s Mayor. No, not that one. Former mayor Steve Luecke!
In New York, Tracy Mitrano is hard at work on the campaign trail. She’s in the midst of a town-hall blitz addressing healthcare and her plans to fix our broken system.
Most importantly, Tracy’s pup Teddy just celebrated his birthday!
When Tracy wins her race, she’ll be the first openly LGBTQ woman elected to Congress from New York. And most importantly, we’ll double LGBTQ representation in Congress!

EVEN MORE LGBTQ HISTORY!
But we're not only focused on federal races. There's a new wave of Spotlight candidates who are ready to make LGBTQ history at the state and local level.
Gray Ellis, who will become the first openly trans man elected to a state legislature if he wins his North Carolina State Senate race;
Jessica Benham, who will become the first openly LGBTQ woman elected to the Pennsylvania state legislature and the first openly autistic woman to win a state legislative seat in the U.S., if she wins her state House race; and
We're also upgrading eight candidates to Spotlight status due to their historic nature and diligent work to win. Congratulations, LGBTQ candidates!

DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS
We’re four days away from Election Day in Texas, and early voting is in FULL SWING! Spotlight candidate Dr. Eliz Markowitz is on the verge of making all kinds of history.
And big endorsements are rolling in: Elizabeth Warren endorsed Eliz, while the DLCC is pledging another $125K to help Eliz flip this seat.
NowThis recently covered Eliz’s race, where she showed once again that she’ll be a voice for LGBTQ Texans and a powerful representative. Take a look:

MOMENT OF ZEN
Want to get to know the next Mayor of San Diego? We asked Spotlight candidate Todd Gloria four questions – and he answered!

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power – so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
