It’s been quite the week so far in the U.S. Senate, folks.
I went into this trial promising to uphold my Constitutional duty and be an impartial juror. I will continue to do that and fight to ensure everyone has access to witnesses with firsthand knowledge of the events that led us to this trial. Whether you are a Republican, Democrat or Independent, we all expect a transparent and fair process.
But I am frustrated that Senator Mitch McConnell is doing everything he can to block the American public from getting crucial White House documents and hearing from relevant witnesses that could provide us with important information. I hope my colleagues on both sides of the aisle agree with me.
It’s quite reasonable information if you ask me.
But Mitch McConnell is hellbent on doing whatever it takes to please Trump, refusing to take this trial seriously, and blocking the American public from seeing relevant documents and hearing from firsthand witnesses.
I’ve just about had it. So, I’m asking if you’ll sign my petition now to demand Mitch McConnell start taking this seriously and allow firsthand witnesses and evidence to be presented.
It’s time to hold our elected officials accountable -- no matter who they are. By signing this petition, you’re doing just that.
