In the next few days, the Biden administration will decide whether to stop or approve a new fossil fuel drilling project on public lands in Alaska.

Like climate change, the industrialization of fragile Arctic ecosystems is irreversible and irresponsible to future generations.

That’s why I have called on the Biden administration to reject ConocoPhillips’ Willow Proposal that could cause nearly $20 billion in climate-related damages, but now we have only a few days left and I need to know you’re with me.

Can you sign on right now to join the call for the Biden administration to listen to environmental concerns and reject the Willow project proposal? We need 25,000 activists to sign on this weekend.

This administration has made historic progress on climate and environmental justice, but this new project could move us backward. In the face of the climate crisis, particularly given the Arctic is warming at least three times faster than other regions, we must finally say enough is enough and embrace the many cleaner and more affordable alternatives to fossil fuels.

Oil companies already have record profits and access to drilling rights on millions of acres of public lands, which they should be using to meet our current fossil fuel needs. If the Willow project in the Arctic north moves forward, it would be a victory for the same oil companies that did so much damage to our environment during the Trump era.

Thank you for making your voice heard,

Maria
